Fashion Export to Grow by 13%

Department of Export Promotion projects the growth of fashion goods exports at 9 – 13 per cent.
The value of textile product is USD 7.058 – 7.205 billion (10 – 12 per cent growth), garment USD 3.238 – 3.386 billion (10 – 15 per cent growth), Cloth and fiber USD 3.819 billion (10 per cent growth), leather USD 1.429 billion (0.98 per cent growth) and jewelry and ornaments USD 11.8 – 12.3 billion (10 – 15 per cent growth).
Ms. Sirat Rattapana, Director – General, Department of Export Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, revealed that , with the economic recovery of partner countries, the exports of fashion goods for year 2010 is projected at USD 20.3 – 20.9 billion or 9 – 13 per cent growth from last year.

นางศรีรัตน์ รัษฐปานะ อธิบดีกรมส่งเสริมการส่งออก เปิดเผยว่า การส่งออกสินค้าแฟชั่นของไทยมีแนวโน้มขยายตัวสูงขึ้น เนื่องจากการฟื้นตัวทางเศรษฐกิจของประเทศคู่ค้า จึงได้ตั้งเป้าหมายการส่งออกสินค้าแฟชั่นในปี 2553 ไว้ที่ 2.03-2.09 หมื่นล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ หรือ เพิ่มขึ้น 9-13% จากปีก่อน
ทั้งนี้ แบ่งเป็น สินค้าสิ่งทอ 7,058 - 7,205 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ เติบโต 10-12% เครื่องนุ่งห่ม 3,238 - 3,386 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ เพิ่มขึ้น 10-15% ผ้าผืนและเส้นด้าย 3,819 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ เพิ่มขึ้น 10% เครื่องหนัง 1,429 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ เพิ่มขึ้น 0.98% ขณะที่อัญมณีและเครื่องประดับ 1.18 -1.23 หมื่นล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ เพิ่มขึ้น 10-15%
